Ahead of its market launch which is reported to take place on October 9, the interior of the Hyundai ix25 was spied by Auto Home. The ix25 seen in these images is likely the top-end variant, as its powered by a 2.0-liter engine, identified by the badge on the bootlid.

The Hyundai ix25 seen here gets a 2.0-liter engine sending power to all wheels.

The design of the center console and AC vents instantly remind you of the larger Hyundai Santa Fe which went on sale in India earlier this year. The center console gets an integrated music system and is flanked by vertical vents which are surrounded by silver accents. Positioned below the center console are the controls for the automatic climate control system. The interior of the compact SUV looks neat and tidy, which is now the standard Hyundai fare.

The interiors of the ix25 largely resemble the Santa Fe.

The ix25 world premiered at the Beijing Motor Show this year, where only the exteriors of the car were revealed. The crossover will enter production in China first under the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture. The Chinese media expect the ix25 to use 1.6- and 2.0-liter engines, with the top-end variant offering 4WD.

The ix25 is expected to launch in India sometime in 2015. Here, it will rival the likes of the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
