Hyundai today started the production of the much-awaited Venue in India, which is going to be the new small SUV's first market globally. The company will launch this model here on 21 May 2019.

The Hyundai Venue is a sub-4 metre SUV derived from the Hyundai HND-14, 'Carlino' concept.

Today is a historic date for Hyundai's Indian operations, not just because the first Venue unit globally rolled out from the Chennai plant today, but also because the day marks the brand’s 23rd Foundation Day in the country. The company has started accepting pre-orders for the new SUV for a token amount of INR 21,000. Within 24 hours from when it opened pre-orders, it had received over 2,000 reservations.

The company has come up with various offers to lure new customers into buying the Venue. In addition to the assurance of early delivery and no processing charges, the company is offering zero cancellation charges on the Venue bookings. There also a few promotions in the basket which are listed below:

  • 100% on-road finance with extended warranty
  • INR 2,000 cashback on using HDFC Bank Credit/Debit Card
  • Chance to win a Hyundai car on using SBI YONO app

Hyundai Venue buyers in India get three engine options: 120 PS 1.0L turbocharged petrol, 83 PS 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 90 PS 1.4L turbocharged diesel. 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic are the transmission choices.

The Hyundai Venue, unlike the Hyundai Creta, will be sold be developed markets as well, such as the USA, Canada and Australia.
