Hyundai Tucson - Auto China 2016

Now on sale in China.

Along with the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and the sixth generation 2016 Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai showcased the third generation 2016 Hyundai Tucson at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show).

The all-new Tucson, with exterior derived from the company's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, was launched in China in September last year. It is available in eight grades, with prices ranging from 1,59,900 to 2,39,900 yuan (INR 16,50,724 to 24,76,602). Unsurprisingly, the second-gen model continues being sold in China as the ix35.

The new generation Hyundai Tucson in Chinese specifications measures 4,475 mm in length 1,850 mm in width and 1,660 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. It's available with two engine options: 2.0 Nu GDi and 1.6 Gamma T-GDi. The 2.0-litre Nu GDi naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 121 kW (162 hp) at 6,200 rpm and 203 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm, and can be had with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 1.6-litre Gamma T-GDi turbocharged petrol engine develops 130 kW (174 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 265 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm, and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

A few among the many features of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson are, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, electronic parking brake, 8-way electric adjustment and heating function for the front seats, 8.0-inch HD touchscreen display for the infotainment, navigation and 6-speaker sound system.
