IAB Report - Hyundai Xcent launched in Nepal at INR 15.5 lakhs
The compact sedan is exported from India.
Laxmi InterContinental Pvt. Ltd., the sole distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal, launched the Xcent compact sedan earlier this week. Needless to say, the Xcent in Nepal is exported from Hyundai's Chennai facility which is the sole manufacturing site for the car.
For Nepal, the Xcent is available only with the 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which makes 83 PS (81.83 bhp) and 11.6 kgm of torque, and is matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car is rated at 19.1 km/l according to the Indian ARAI tests.
Three variants of the Xcent are offered in Nepal - Base, S and SX - priced between NPR 2.49 million to NPR 3.19 million (INR 15.51 lakhs to INR 19.9 lakhs). Based on the Grand i10's platform, the Xcent is classified as a sub-4 meter sedan in India, and competes with the likes of the Honda Amaze, Maruti Dzire and the recently launched Tata Zest.

Hyundai in India recently launched the second generation Elite i20 earlier this month. The Xcent and Elite i20 are the company's big ticket launches this year. Hyundai has sold nearly 30,000 units of the Xcent in India.
