The upcoming Hyundai Xcent has been photographed testing without any body cladding by our reader Bairesh Raj. The car will be launched on March 12.

The Hyundai Xcent spotted here, in the 'Sleek Silver' paintwork, doesn't carry badges indicating the variant. However, with the test mule sporting chrome door handles and smart key functionality, it one of the high-end variants. The car also doesn't carry the diamond cut alloy wheels shown on the range-topping Asta (or the car showcased at the unveiling last month).

As confirmed earlier, the Xcent gets a host of features like smart key with push button start, rear aircon vents, multiple storage options in door trim and centre console, rear parking camera and sensors, electro-chromic mirrors and one-touch opening boot amongst others. Hyundai announced class-leading boot space as a feature at the preview.

As for the external design features, the compact sedan receives swept-back smoked headlamps and wrap-around taillights with chrome insert, chrome finish hexagonal air dam, front bumper with an integrated spoiler design, dual tone rear bumper with twin reflectors and rear boot lid with chrome garnish.

The Xcent will compete against the segment leader Maruti Swift Dzire, for which a facelift is due, and the Honda Amaze, for which Honda recently began production at a second plant in Tapukara.
