India-bound Honda CBR1000RR showcased at BIMS 2017

The Honda CBR1000RR is popularly known as the Fireblade.

The Honda CBR1000RR has been showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show. The bike is expected to be launched in India by December.

The 2017 Honda CBR1000RR is not just more powerful than the outgoing model but also appears sportier.

The Honda CBR1000RR is suspended over 43 mm Big Piston Showa forks up front while the rear gets fully adjustable Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion. Instead of a conventional single-tube layout, this uses a double-tube design, the damper case and an internal cylinder. The brakes have been sourced from Tokico. Cornering ABS is optional in the standard and electronic updates and chassis remain the same.

At the heart of the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is a 999 cc DOHC, liquid cooled, in-line four cylinder mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel injected engine is capable of producing 191.7 PS of maximum power at 13,000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm.

The Honda CBR1000RR gets all-LED lighting. The cooling system, clutch and titanium exhaust remain the same as the Honda CBR1000RR SP and Honda CBR1000RR SP2. Honda will also be offering the quickshifter as an option.

The Honda CBR1000RR is powered by a 999 cc four cylinder mill producing 191.7 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque.

The Honda CBR1000RR gets a 9 level traction control and a TFT instrumentation.
