India-bound 2015 Hyundai Elantra spotted in China - Spied

Estimated to be priced around 120,000 yuan.

Auto Ifeng has posted new spyshots of the latest Hyundai Elantra, sporting no body camouflage. It is expected to launch in Q1 2016 in China, priced around 120,000 yuan (INR 12.20 lakhs).

Featuring an evolutionary exterior design, the new Hyundai Elantra measures 4610 mm long, 1800 mm wide, 1450 mm high and has a wheelbase 2700 mm. Exterior headlines include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 6-point grille with bold horizontal slats, 5-spoke alloy rims, LED taillamps and chrome door handles.

Inside, the design is influenced by the bigger Hyundai Sonata, featuring a new 3-spoke steering wheel and center console, revised instrument cluster and SoyFoam seat cushions. It appears that the China-spec model doesn't offer a 7-or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but rather makes do with a small LCD display with buttons.

The new Elantra is powered by a 1.4-liter T-GDI petrol engine producing 130 PS and 184 Nm of torque, and paired to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. It comes with three driving modes: Normal, Sport and Eco, which is standard on all variants sold in other markets.

Beijing Hyundai Motor will not retire the current Elantra, as spyshots showed that it was getting a second facelift to keep it on the shelves for a few more years.
