Toyota C-HR showcased in Malaysia
Toyota gauging customer interest for its B-SUV in Malaysia.
The Toyota C-HR went on sale in Japan last year and Toyota is now working on introducing it in new markets. Last week, the company showcased the Toyota C-HR at the Carlist.my MAA Test, Drive & Buy Event in Malaysia.
Toyota has not finalised plans for the Toyota C-HR's Malaysian launch yet. It was gauging the customer interest for the small Toyota crossover, which local reports say will happen only in 2018. The C-HR seen in the images is an AU-spec entry-level front-wheel-drive model with the 8NR-FTS 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and 7-speed CVT combo.
Besides the aforementioned 1.2-litre petrol engine, Toyota C-HR buyers get 3ZR-FAE 2.0-litre petrol and 2ZR-FXE 1.8-litre petrol-electric hybrid options. Earlier this year, it was reported that Toyota could offer the C-HR with the 2NR-FE 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Toyota Vios in Indonesia.
LED headlamps with LED light guide and sequential LED turn signals, LED (front) fog lamps, 18-inch machined-face alloy wheels, two-tone body colours, roof mounted spoiler, LED tail lamps, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, 9-speaker JBL premium sound system, 4.2-inch multi-information display, ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic climate control are some of the key features of the Toyota C-HR. The B-SUV is currently produced in Iwate, Japan and Sakarya, Turkey.
