India-made Jeep Compass unveiled - In 18 Images

FCA India has unveiled the India-made Jeep Compass for the first time today at the FCA-Tata JV plant in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra. The Compass is confirmed to launch in India in Q3 2017, specifically before this Diwali.

The Jeep Compass slots in the premium monocoque C-SUV segment, measuring 4,410 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width and 1,640 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,630 mm. The model showcased is based on the Limited grade, which gets projector headlamps, 17 inch alloy tims, chrome embellishers and LED taillamps.

For the Indian market, the Jeep Compass will be offered with an all black interior, dual tone beige and black or dual tone black and Alpine white in the top-end trim. It also gets a UConnect touchscreen infotainment system, 60:40 split seats, perforated leather upholstery with contrast stitching, and a large multi-info color display.

The Compass measures 4,410 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width and 1,640 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,630 mm.

Jeep has confirmed that the engine options on offer are a 1.4 FIRE MultiAir petrol engine (160+ hp) and 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel turbocharged motor with 170+ hp.  It can be had with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, as well as Jeep's Active Drive AWD system with Selec Terrain Technology.
