India-made Suzuki Super Carry launches in Philippines

Priced from PhP 4,79,000 (INR 6,59,076.65).

Following its national debut at the 2016 Philippine International Motor Show in September, the Suzuki Super Carry has been launched in the country. Targeted at small and medium businesses, the Suzuki Super Carry is sourced from Maruti Suzuki's plant in Haryana.

The Philippine-spec Suzuki Super Carry is powered by a 32 hp 793 cc turbocharged twin-cylinder diesel engine.

The Suzuki Super Carry measures 3,800 mm in length, 1,562 mm in width, 1,883 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,110 mm. The load bay measures 2,183 mm in length, 1,488 mm in width and 300 mm in depth. Weighing 865 kg, the Super Carry has a payload capacity of 735 kg (including 2 passengers).

The Suzuki Super Carry is powered by a Euro IV-compliant 793 cc turbocharged twin-cylinder diesel engine that produces 32 hp at 3,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel economy is marked at 22.07 km/l. There's nothing worth mentioning about the interior except a basic audio system that offers AM/FM radio, USB and Aux connectivity and can read an SD card.

The Suzuki Super Carry is available in four body styles - Truck, Cargo Van, Jeepney Body and Utility Van, which are priced at PhP 4,79,000 (INR 6,59,076.65), PhP 5,29,000 (INR 7,27,873.8), PhP 5,50,000 (INR 7,56,768.6) and PhP 5,65,000 (INR 7,77,407.74) respectively.
