Bajaj Auto has made no announcement about the discontinuation of the Pulsar 180 from the Indian market. The company Bajaj had introduced the ABS-equipped Pulsar 180 in February 2019, at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 92,563. The ABS-equipped variant had started reaching select dealerships the same month. The motorcycle is still listed on the company’s website.

The Bajaj Pulsar 180, similar to the rest of the products from the two-wheeler brand, gets single-channel ABS along with a Rear Lift-off Protection (RLP). The ABS-equipped variant is INR 7,000 costlier compared to the non-ABS variant that was sold at INR 85,523 (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Auto recently extended its motorcycle portfolio with the introduction of a semi-faired version of the Pulsar 180 - the Pulsar 180F. The new addition to the Pulsar range is priced at INR 87,002 (ex-showroom Delhi). Surprisingly, the non-ABS variant cannot be sold in the Indian market from the start of this month, and the company is yet to announce the ABS-equipped variant. The semi-faired version draws styling cues from the Pulsar 220F and featyres a vertically stacked, twin-pod headlight.

Mechanical specifications of the Pulsar 180 and the Pulsar 180F are identical, although Bajaj Auto’s website lists the semi-faired model with a 4-valve engine (Vs 2-valves on naked variant). The 178.6, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine delivers 17.02 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of torque at 6,500 on both motorcycles. Stopping power comes from 260 mm disc at the front and 230 mm unit at the back in both the models.
