Jaguar F-Type Coupe teased, debuts on 19 November

Jaguar presents us with the first look of the production Jaguar F-Type Coupe that will make its world premiere on 19 November at the Los Angeles auto show. On the following day, the vehicle will be showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The F-Type Coupe is the production variant of the C-X16 concept

The all-aluminum F-Type Coupe will soon join the existing convertible model and both cars are likely to share the same powertrain. Currently the convertible gets a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine in 335HP and 375HP configuration, and a 488HP supercharged V8 engine. These are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Coupe is hinted to be better in terms of handling compared to the convertible model by one Jaguar official.

Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar -

We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to F-TYPE Convertible, but for me the purity of creating a sports Coupé is a uniquely satisfying process – and I know that both visually and dynamically, F-TYPE Coupé raises the bar yet again.

The Jaguar F-Type convertible retails in India at INR 1.37 crores for the 3.0-liter V6 S, while the 5.0-liter V8 S sets customers back by INR 1.61 crores.
