Specially built by JLR's Special Operations Division.

Last year, Jaguar stunned the crowd by unveiling the Project 7 concept at Pebble Beach, which wasn't for sale. At this year's Pebble Beach, Jaguar took the wraps off the US-spec F-Type Project 7 in production guise that will be sold in limited numbers.

The Jaguar Project 7 for the American market is priced at an Indian equivalent of INR 1.01 crores.

The Project 7 is Jaguar's way of celebrating its glorious LeMans history, and what better way to celebrate their achievements than drawing design inspiration from the Le Mans-winning D-Type racer. Like the Project 7 Concept, it will be based on the F-Type sans the hard-top roof. It features wider air intakes upfront, a D-Type inspired classic aero haunch, carbon fiber elements and an improved quad exhaust system.

It is powered by the same 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine found under the F-Type R Coupe, but with the power figure being bumped up to 575 PS (566.9 bhp), making it the most powerful Jaguar that one can currently buy. It's coupled to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, which helps the car sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.8-seconds, before reaching a limited top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

The production Project 7 made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
