Jaguar Land Rover India has unveiled the India-spec Jaguar XE at the Auto Expo 2016. The XE will go on sale from the end of February 2016, with prices starting from INR 39.90 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). It is locally manufactured at their plant in Pune.

The face features a prominent grille that is flanked by swept-back headlamps having projector units and J-shaped LED DRLs. The lower portion gets large air intakes and a wide radiator grille. Moving to the sides, there are prominent wheel arches, multi-spoke alloys and chrome fender vents. The rear view comes with wraparound LED tail lights and a subtle boot spoiler.

The Jaguar XE’s cabin is neatly laid out with a new dashboard design the three-spoke multi-function steering wheel  from the F-Type, a two-pod unit instrument cluster with a large MID screen in the middle. The dashboard is leather wrapped and houses the 8-inch touchscreen for the InControl Touch infotainment system.

At launch, the Jaguar XE is only available with a 2.0-liter petrol engine available in two power tunes: 147 kW (197 hp) and 177 kW (240 hp). The only transmission option is an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The 177 kW petrol variant is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
