Classic Legends, a subsidy of Mahindra & Mahindra Group, has introduced a new feature Jawa Motorcycles’ India website, the Delivery Estimator. The new function on the website gives an estimated time of delivery of Jawa bikes to their respective customers.

The Delivery Estimator requires the Booking ID and the mobile number of the buyer.

The new feature is visible on the top-right corner of Jawa Motorcycles’ homepage. The link takes you to the Delivery Estimator page where customers can track their order using the Booking ID and mobile number. A report from last month claimed that the Jawa Classic and the Forty-Two command a waiting period of up to 10 months.

Regular readers would know that Classic Legends commenced the delivery of dual-channel ABS-equipped Jawa Classic and the Forty-Two at the start of this month. The single-channel ABS versions had started leaving the showrooms in March this year. Check out the ex-showroom Delhi prices below:

Model Price (Single-Channel ABS) Price (Dual-Channel ABS)
Jawa Classic INR 1,64,000 INR 1,72,942
Jawa Forty-Two INR 1,55,000 INR 1,63,942

The single-channel ABS variant gets a drum brake at the back, while the dual-channel ABS avatar comes with a rear disc. Both versions employ a 293 cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the single-cylinder motor churns out 27.37 PS of power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycles boast an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 37.5 km/l.

Classic Legends added the safety net of dual-channel ABS and a disc brake on the back wheel to compete more efficiently against the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It has also announced optional accessories for the Jawa bikes and merchandise for the riders. The company ensured a widespread dealership and service network before commencing the deliveries of the motorcycles.

In other updates, the company is likely to announce the availability and booking details of the Jawa Perak Bobber very soon. Anupam Thareja, Co-Founder, Classic Legends, had told IAB that the bookings for the Perak Bobber would commence September this year. The bike and its price were unveiled in November last year.

Jawa motorcycles currently carry a waiting period of between 7 to 10 months.

The Perak Bobber uses a relatively bigger engine than the Jawa Classic and the Forty-Two. The 334 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected mill produces 30.41 PS of peak power and 31 Nm of maximum torque. Unlike the Classic and the Forty-Two, the Perak Bobber would only be available in a dual-channel ABS version.
