After introducing the Jeep Compass last year, Jeep will launch the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India this year. The most off-road capable grade of the C-SUV was recently spied completely undisguised in the country, courtesy Rushlane. The test mule had a printout on its backglass reading "homologation", revealing the obvious development.

The Jeep Compass features the Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system with 20:1 crawl ratio among many other exclusives.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk features a number of enhancements over the other grades for extra ruggedness. The first of them is a raised ride height. The Trail Rated grade is equipped with the Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system with 20:1 crawl ratio and the Jeep Selec-Terrain traction management system with an exclusive ‘Rock’ drive mode. The traction management system includes Selec-Speed Control with Hill-descent Control. Under the hood, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk is likely to have the 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine (173 PS/350 Nm). Transmission choices should include 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk has unique front and rear fascia with 30-degree approach angle, 24-degree breaker angle and a 34-degree departure angle, as well as red recovery hooks, four underbody skid plates, black anti-glare hood decal and Trail Rated badging. Jeep may offer it with unique 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tyres, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is already manufactured in India for export markets.
