India-spec Jeep Grand Cherokee's variants, features revealed

Available in three variants: Limited, Summit and SRT.

Jeep India has revealed that the Grand Cherokee will be available in three variants: Grand Cherokee Limited, Grand Cherokee Summit and SRT Grand Cherokee.

Initial lot of Jeep Grand Cherokees for the Indian market will be imported into the country via the CBU route.

The Grand Cherokee Limited and Summit are powered by a 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel motor paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Limited trim will come generously equipped with features like power-adjustable front seats with memory, heated steering, a 5.0-inch UConnect infotainment system, automatic bi-xenon headlamps, powered tailgate, ORVMs with memory and heating and an off-road terrain selector.

To the list of features in Limited, the Summit variant adds ventilated front seats, power adjustable steering wheel, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 506W amplifier for the audio system. As optional equipment, the Grand Cherokee Summit can be had with a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, satellite navigation, rear seat entertainment, panoramic sunroof and a limited-slip differential.

The SRT Grand Cherokee is powered by a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 petrol motor paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox

The top-of-the-line SRT Grand Cherokee is powered by a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 petrol motor paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which produces 475 hp. It features launch control, a track mode and an AWD system tuned for better on-road performance.
