Jeep Wrangler launched in India at INR 71.59 lakhs

Jeep India today announced the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. The Jeep Wrangler for India, available exclusively in the four-door Unlimited variant, is priced at INR 71.59 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
Power comes from a 2.8-litre CRD turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 200 PS at 3,600 rpm and 460 Nm of torque at 1,600-2,000 rpm. It is fitted with a 5-speed automatic gearbox and Command-Trac 4WD system as standard. The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency stands at 12.1 km/l.
Other features include a 6.5-inch UConnect touchscreen entertainment system with voice command, 40 GB hard drive, GPS navigation, heavy duty solid axles, 17-inch Goodyear tyres, heated front seats, automatic temperature control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. It will be available in 6 color options.
Weighing 2,119 kg, the Jeep Wrangler has a 35-degree approach angle, 18-degree breakover angle and a 28-degree departure angle. The SUV has its dimensions at 4,583 mm in length, 1,877 mm in width, 1,829 mm in height and 2,947 mm in wheelbase. The ground clearance is 238.2 mm.
By the end of this year, Jeep India will have presence in 9 cities with 10 outlets. The first outlet is already up and running in Ahmedabad.
