Kawasaki showcased the Kawasaki ER-6n at the ongoing 2014 Bangkok International Motor Show which started yesterday. The ER-6n is a model which is due to arrive in India by the end of this year.

Essentially, the ER-6n is the naked version of the Ninja 650 which is already sold in the Indian market. Power for the ER-6n comes from the same 649 cc, 8v, DOHC, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin as the Ninja 650. The engine produces 72.1 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm and uses a 6-speed gearbox.

The ER-6n measures 2,100 mm in length, 770 mm in width and 1,110 mm in height with a 130 mm ground clearance. The street bike comes with a 16 liter fuel tank and weighs 206 kg. Stopping power comes from dual 300 mm petal type discs at the front and a single 220 mm petal type disc at the rear.

The ER-6n uses telescopic forks at the front and an offset laydown single-shock with adjustable preload damper at the rear. Expect to see the ER-6n arrive in India in the second half of this year.
