The Kawasaki Ninja H2 superbike world premiered at the EICMA 2014 amidst much fanfare and here is a promotional video of the eagerly anticipated supercharged roading going monster.

Previewed by the closed-course Ninja H2R at the INTERMOT 2014, the Ninja H2 is a marginally watered down version. The design, while still being super aggressive, loses some of the H2R's outlandish bits. The street-legal Ninja gains headlamps, LED daytime running lights, a rear license plate holder in addition to a revised exhaust.

While the H2R has a claimed target horsepower of 300 PS (295.7 bhp), the production model's supercharged 998 cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine pushes out 200 PS (197.1 bhp) at 11,000 rpm and 133.5 Nm of torque at 10,500 rpm.

Mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch, the engine's output can be increased to 210 PS with the addition of ram-air. The higher-output version has a kerb weight of 238 kg, resulting in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 882.35 PS/tonne.

Kawasaki has not revealed the performance stats yet but has assured that the latest litre class superbike will offer an acceleration unlike any naturally aspirated production motorcycle.
