Kia Seltos pre-bookings open, launch to take place in August
If you have been eagerly waiting to get your hands on the Kia Seltos, the good news is that the company has officially commenced the pre-bookings of the same today. The Kia Seltos can be pre-booked online at Kia Motors India website or at the company's dealerships for a token amount of INR 25,000.
Kia made waves in the Indian market with the reveal of Seltos last month, and it is set to be launched on 22 August this year. The Seltos will be up for display at the Kia dealerships by the July-end but its test drives will only be available by the first week of August. Earlier reports also suggest that the deliveries of the Seltos will commence soon after its launch in August. Kia will operate from 265 touchpoints across 160 Indian cities, and the unofficial list of its dealerships across India with addresses was leaked online last week.
The Kia Seltos will be made available in two trims – GT Line and Tech Line. The GT Line trim will be available with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine (140 PS/242 Nm) mated to a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT. The Tech Line trim will be available with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115 PS/144 Nm) linked to a 6-speed MT or a CVT and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine (115 PS/250 Nm) paired with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT.
The Kia Seltos petrol will range from GTX grade and goes up to top-spec GTX+, while the diesel variants will range from HTE grade and go up to the top-of-the-line HTX+ grade. In its top-grades, the Kia Seltos will be equipped with features like a 10.25 HD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a head-up display, 360-degree around-view camera, sunroof, multi-coloured ambient lighting, cooled front seats and 400-watt 8 speaker Bose premium sound system.
