KTM 125 Duke deliveries commence in India [Video]
Deliveries of the KTM 125 Duke has commenced in India, as KTM Mekhri Circle, Bangalore has reportedly delivered the first bike in India. Youtuber DV has released a video taking possession of his KTM 125 Duke.
At other dealers, bookings for the baby KTM are underway. The 125 Duke will be available at 450 dealerships across India from this week. Test rides/demo bikes have also begun reaching dealerships so prospective customers can assess the motorcycle at the nearest KTM touchpoint.
The KTM 125 Duke is available in three paint schemes - Orange, White and Black. Although being under 125cc, KTM India has offered a single-channel ABS as standard on the bike. On the other hand, the Yamaha R15, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will get this feature only next year.
Unlike the Europen-spec version, the Indian-spec KTM 125 Duke borrows styling from its bigger sibling, the KTM 200 Duke. The design is identical to the 200 Duke, but it gets different graphics. Powering the bike is a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that churns out 15 PS (11kW) of maximum power at 9,250 rpm along with 12 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The KTM 125 Duke is the most powerful and feature-rich motorcycle in its segment. Customers get features like the superior steel trellis chassis, and WP-sourced USD front forks and adjustable rear mono-shock. Twin disc brakes and radially mounted ByBre callipers are features unheard of in this segment.

It features lightweight alloy wheels that are wrapped with wider MRF Revz tyres. Sure, the price is high at INR 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), but it is backed by the performance and equipment. In fact, at this price point, the KTM 125 Duke rivals the Yamaha R15, which is from a segment above.
