KTM’s small-capacity adventure motorcycle, the KTM 390 Adventure has been spied again, in Austria, Europe. Unlike the bike spied last year, this motorcycle features a different design.

The 390 Adventure when launched in India, will lock horns with the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

The KTM 390 Adventure sports a large LED headlamp that is akin to the one in the KTM 1090 Adventure. The design of the fuel tank, radiator covers, and the rear bodywork is identical to the 2017 KTM 390 Duke. The front fender doubles up as a fork cover. There is a fly-screen above the headlamp for fatigue-free high-speed touring as well. The instrumentation is an all-digital affair.

The front wheel a type, and the rear is alloy. Off-road friendly tyres wrap the wheels, and the bike comes with an aluminium bash plate as well. The ergonomics is less aggressive than the Duke, to ensure a comfortable riding position. The front disc with radial calliper is the same as the one in the naked variant.

The 390 Adventure is based on the 390 Duke's platform.

The KTM 390 Adventure shares its engine with the 390 Duke. The 373.2 liquid-cooled, single cylinder mill generates 43.5 PS at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine mates with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. It is likely that KTM will tune the engine differently to suit the purpose of this bike.
