KTM Duke 200 with cosmetic update launched at INR 143,500

KTM Duke 200 was first introduced in India back in 2012.

KTM India has today also launched the 2017 KTM Duke 200. The entry level naked roadster is the most affordable KTM available in India. The bike is essentially a stickered up version of the 2016 model.

The 2017 KTM Duke 200 gets an image makeover with new stickers and a price reduction.

The 2017 KTM Duke 200 uses a 199.5 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected mill which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 25 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike does not get ride by wire or slipper clutch.

The bike is suspended over WP sourced upside down forks up front and a 10 step adjustable (preload) monoshock in the rear. The KTM Duke 200 gets a 300 mm single disc in the front with a four piston radial calliper and a 230 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating calliper. ABS continues to be absent.

The bike retains the old LCD instrumentation which though gives out all the necessary information, often comes out as cluttered. The headlight too is a halogen unit to keep prices affordable. The engine is now BSIV compliant but gets an underbelly exhaust. The tyres have been sourced from MRF. Colour options include White, Black and Orange.

The 2017 KTM Duke 200 is BSIV compliant and continues with an underbelly exhaust.

The 2017 KTM Duke 200 has been priced at INR 143,500 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), INR 629 cheaper than the 2016 version.
