The KTM brand is known globally for their off-road machines.

While the official KTM 390 Adventure is still some time away, an off-road enthusiast from Dehradun, MotoExotica India, has converted his KTM Duke 390 to an Enduro.

This customised KTM 390 Enduro is based on the KTM Duke 390 but uses a new suspension setup and gets a bigger fuel tank as well.

The KTM 390 Enduro customised gets 12 inch of travel with new forks up front and a new, completely adjustable Showa multilink mono shock with 15 inch of travel. The dual fuel tank can store 13 litre and the bike can be fitted with an auxiliary tank later.

The chassis looks inspired from the KTM stock piece but has been carefully crafted by the customiser. The wheels are 21 inch in the front and 17 inch in the rear. It also gets options for luggage and a new headlamp setup.

The engine is the familiar 373.3 cc but the top end output has been sacrificed for a better acceleration. The generous use of carbon fibre though helped reduce the weight of the KTM Duke 390 to just 125 kg (dry). This helps the KTM 390 Enduro have a power to weight ratio similar to most production 450 cc Enduros. The brakes too have been upgraded.

Thanks to the generous use of carbon fibre, the KTM 390 Enduro weighs just 125 kg (dry).

The cost of this modification is INR 3 lakhs which is over and above the cost of the KTM Duke 390. That’s about 60 percent cheaper than importing a 450 cc Enduro motorcycle and minus all the hassles of regularly importing replacement parts.
