Indian Autos Blog reported earlier this month saying that KTM would launch the fully faired versions of the Duke 125, 200 and 390 at the International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) which will take place in Milan, Italy from November 5th.

Images and details of the KTM RC390 have now emerged on the internet, well ahead of its official debut.

The KTM RC390 will be shown at the EICMA which starts on November 5th.

The sharp design of the added body panels do give the RC390 a very sporty styling and we are of the opinion that the 390 looks just as good fully faired, as it does naked. The twin headlight cluster and the mirror incorporated turn signals only highlight the looks even further. The RC390 also gets clip-on handlebars and KTM have moved back the footrests and the pedals by a notch.

All in all, the RC390 weighs about 8 kg more than the regular Duke 390. It also sports a shorter wheelbase compared to the regular 390 thanks to a steering head angle of 66.5 degrees, which should go into improving its dynamics.

The RC390 is powered by the same 375cc engine.

Powering the RC390 is the same 375cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 45 PS and 35 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox.

A slightly detuned version of the RC390 could also be introduced for A2 license holders in the UK. Power will be reduced to about 41.5 bhp making it comply with the power-to-weight ratio limit of 0.26 bhp per kg.
