Will hit the Russian market in Q3 2017.

The Lada Vesta sedan was launched in November 2015 and currently, its adventure-styled estate version is in the development stage. Dubbed 'Lada Vesta Cross', this version was recently spied testing in South Kazakhstan, courtesy YouTube channel Lonely. The Lada Vesta Cross was originally unveiled as the Lada Vesta SW Cross concept at the 2015 Moscow Off-Road Show.

The spy video is proof that the Lada Vesta Cross is now close to the production stage. The Cross version has more appeal than the sedan thanks to a sporty rear-end with a raked back glass. A previous spy video (below) has revealed that save for a minor tweak to the lower bumper, the Cross version's front-end looks the same as that of the sedan version. On the sides, the wheel Cross appear a little more pronounced, but other things, besides the third glass and longer roof, look no different.

The Lada Vesta Sedan measures 4,410 mm in length, 1,764 mm in width and 1,497 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,635 mm. The Lada Vesta Cross' body will be longer, and possibly have a little increment in the width and height too. The Vesta sedan is available with two four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.6-litre unit that produces 106 hp and 148 Nm of torque and a 1.8-litre unit that develops 122 hp and 170 Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre engine is paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission, while the 1.8-litre engine is linked to the latter as standard. Expect to see these engines on the new variant.

The Lada Vesta Cross is not much different from the Lada Vesta SW Cross concept which previewed the idea of an adventure variant.
