Rendering - Lamborghini Cabrera
Wild-speed.com presents an interesting rendering of the Lamborghini Cabrera, the name Lambo enthusiasts have christened the Gallardo replacement, expected on the market next year.
This projection of the Cabrera is clearly influenced by the Aventador. The Cabrera is currently undergoing tests in places such as the Nurburgring race track. The Gallardo was launched in 2003, and after a 10-year stint, Lamborghini continues to show some interesting variants based on it. One such example is the LP 570-4 Squadra Corse presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Sharing its platform with the second generation Audi R8, the Lamborghini Cabrera is reported to weigh under 1,500 kg thanks to a generous use of aluminium and carbon fiber, and source power from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that could produce in excess of 600 HP and 541 Nm of torque, matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The more than healthy outputs would give the Cabrera a 0-100 kph time of under 3.5s and a top speed above 300 kph.
Spyshots of test mules reveal that the exterior design would be influenced by the Aventador and the Sesto Elemento. Further details on the Gallardo replacement are unavailable at the moment.
