Land Rover Discovery Sport petrol launched at INR 56.50 lakhs

Land Rover Discovery Sport range includes 3 engine options now.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport, the successor to the Land Rover Freelander 2, was launched in September last year exclusively with a 2.2-litre diesel engine. With the diesel engine (above 2,000 cc) ban in effect in Delhi and NCR since December 2015, which has been now extended to Kerala and could be extended to more places, a petrol model has been introduced at INR 56.50 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Land Rover Discovery Sport petrol is available only in the HSE trim level. Thus, the diesel model still remains at the top of the range because of it's availability in the HSE Luxury trim level.

Noteworthy features of the Discovery Sport HSE TD4 (diesel) include grille in Atlas finish with Narvik Black surround, fender vents in Atlas finish, tow eye covers in White Silver finish, eight-way driver/passenger power seats in Grained leather, centre console with sliding arm rest, Ivory Morzine headlining, 11-speaker sound system, navigation system and reversing camera and Park Assist - Parallel and Perpendicular.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport petrol's engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit producing 177 kW (237.27 hp) and 340 Nm of torque. It sends power to the wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
