NAIAS Live: Lexus LF-NX concept returns in Detroit

The Lexus LF-NX concept is Lexus' answer to the growing need for compact crossovers and it was shown for the first time in the U.S. at the ongoing Detroit Auto Show.

The LF-NX concept gets the first ever turbocharged engine made by Lexus, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit with a twinscroll turbo that, the company claims, paves the way for turbocharged powertrains in future Lexus models. At 4,650 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, the Lexus LF-NX concept is more compact than the RX luxury utility vehicle.

The LF-NX concept retains Lexus' aggressive design language, with three diamond-shaped LED headlamps and independent daytime running lights, which are underscored by strips of LED that double up as a turn indicator.
