Frankfurt Live - How do you like the Lexus LF-NX Concept?

The Lexus LF-NX Concept has premiered at the Frankfurt Motor Show to explore a potential compact crossover within the Lexus range.

The bold exterior design isn't the trump card of the LF-NX as a new variation of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system under the skin, tuned for SUV performance, is the bigger revelation.

The LF-NX wears a very distinctive and sculpted design that is a further evolution of the Lexus L-finesse design language. The front is characterized by Lexus's spindle grille, signature headlamps, independent Daytime Running Lights, and unique corner styling.

Puffed-up wheel arches trimmed with the black protective finish, diamond shape belt line, and a steeply raked tailgate constitute the LF-NX's coupeish profile. Articulated stoplight clusters that cut into the bumper, mirror the front wing detailing. The concept is finished in a Brushed Metal Silver body color.

Stepping inside, the cockpit is driver-focused with a two-zone dashboard, next-gen touch-sensitive electrostatic switches, and a new touch pad Remote Touch Interface (RTI) design. The Sunrise Yellow/Black leather upholstery with contrast stitching and blue instrument lighting round out the interior features.

If Lexus takes the concept to production, expect it to compete with the Audi Q3 and the BMW X1.
