Li-ions Elektrik Solutions Spock electric scooter launched in India

As the Indian market continues flooding with new pure electric two-wheelers, Gurugram-based Li-ions Elektrik Solutions has launched its Spock scooter today.

Li-ions Elektrik Solutions' Spock electric scooter has been priced from INR 65,000 (on-road).

Like the newly launched Revolt RV400 and the upcoming Blacksmith B2, the Spock electric scooter has a swappable battery. The product is designed to suit the Indian driving conditions, and it comes with optional features such as GPS and Anti-Theft. It features a USB Type-A port. (DC 5V - 1A) charging port for phones and other devices as well.

Lithium-ion swappable battery pack and BLDC Hub motor propel the Spock scooter. The electric engine is claimed to deliver a peak power output of 2.1 kW and continuous power of 1.2 kW. The top speed is rated at 45 km/h, while the maximum range stands at 130 km in Economy mode (100 km in Power mode) per full charge. In total, there are three ride modes: Economy, Power and Reverse mode. The gradeability is rated at 15-degree. Charging the 72-volt 40 Ah (72-volt 20 Ah x 2 packs) battery pack takes four hours.

The Spock electric scooter has been designed in India. Commenting on the launch of the Spock, Capt. Gurvinder Singh, Director, Li-ions Elektrik Solutions, said:

The design of our 2-wheeler has been done at the local level which has been 100 per cent made under the "Make in India" umbrella and is fully indigenous.

The electric scooter packs massive storage options and it will come handy for businesses with delivery services. The apron-mounted headlight sits on a black panel and features a chrome mask. The black panel also holds the front blinkers. The space above the headlight can be used to install an optional basket to carry luggage. The motorcycle features a rider-only saddle, and its rear includes a mount for the optional cargo-box with thermal insulation. A pillion seat is available as an option. The cargo-box also has a backrest for the rider. The saddle comes with under-seat storage space. The rear section includes a tail light with integrated blinkers for a clean look. All the ride related information is available on the digital display.

Unlike some of the electric scooters in the Indian market, the Spock uses drum brakes on both wheels to perform the anchoring duties. Hydraulic telescopic forks perform the shock absorption tasks at the front and they should deliver a decent ride quality. The Spock is available in seven colour options:

  • White
  • Silver
  • Black
  • Red
  • Green
  • Yellow
  • Blue

Optional accessories for the Spock electric scooter include front basket, cargo-box and pillion seat. The electric vehicle is available in seven colour options.

The Spock's prices can go up to INR 1 lakh (on-road) depending on the configuration. The company states that the pre-bookings are already full and that the deliveries have commenced.
