Mahindra e2o receives a price slash of INR 92,000 - IAB Report

The Mahindra e2o is now more affordable than before thanks to a new initiative called FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric vehicles) formed by the central government.

The scheme reduces the price by 16 percent from its earlier price of INR 5.71 lakh (on road Delhi).

The scheme reduces the car's price by 16 percent from its earlier price of INR 5.71 lakh (on road Delhi) along with a fixed energy fee of INR 2,999 per month for five years or 50,000 km.

The car has a lithium-ion battery pack that takes five hours for a full charge and weighs 830 kg. It delivers a range of 120 km and a top speed of 90 km/h.

The e20 was launched in 2013, long before the government introduced any incentives for electric vehicle.
