New Mahindra KUV100 facelift prototype reveals more
A Mahindra KUV100 facelift test mule was spied testing by a CarBlogIndia reader in Pune. It has a full body camouflage wrap, although a couple of new details come to light in this batch.
For instance, the new KUV100 will have revised 'sunglass' halogen headlamps with LED DRLs, and chrome embellishers instead of red. Interestingly, the KUV100 in CarBlog's spyshots has the current version's toothed grille. This is odd as the test mule an IAB reader snapped last month had bolder chrome inserts. At least, both the test mules share the new 15 inch alloy wheels. The posterior appears identical to the outgoing model, but changes are expected to the bootlid for a cleaner presentation. It retains the Fiery Orange exterior colour option.
It is believed that Mahindra will continue with the 82 bhp 1.2 L G80 mFalcon petrol and 77 bhp 1.2 L D75 mFalcon diesel three-cylinder motors. In the current model, a 5-speed manual is the only transmission offered. For the facelift, a 5-speed AMT option to rival the Maruti Ignis AGS and Hyundai Grand i10 petrol 4AT could be considered. The diesel variant can average a fuel mileage of 25.32 km/l.

The Indian utility manufacturer has confirmed the facelifted KUV100's arrival before the end of 2017. Expect prices to be similar to model on sale, which ranges between INR 4.58-7.36 Lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
