Mahindra Marazzo to be available with customisation packages for its interior
The Mahindra Marazzo went on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India) on 3 September. At the MPV's launch, the company revealed a wide set of accessories for its latest product. Other than these optional add-ons, Mahindra is also offering comprehensive customisation packages. A Marazzo featuring a fully customised interior was put on display at the launch event.
The customised Mahindra Marazzo sports a completely redesigned interior whose biggest highlight is the new middle row seating. The regular captain seats or the bench (of 8-seat layout) have made way for new, electrically adjustable chairs with larger headrests, a greater recline, and footrests that folds out from the front seatbacks. The seats can be adjusted using a capacitative touchscreen mounted on a platform between the individual middle row seats. The arrangement also holds a 7-litre refrigerator.
There's an individual entertainment screen with Android TV for each of the middle seat occupant. The seats get high-quality leather upholstery. The same material can be found on the steering, grab handles, and part of the dashboard. There has been a liberal usage of faux wood, chrome, and piano black trim to make the cabin look more upmarket. While the third row of seats remains entirely stock, the front chairs get full electric adjustments.
The customised Mahindra Marazzo is based on the top-end M8 trim. The modification has been carried out by Mahindra Customisation, the same division that has been responsible for models like the Thar Daybreak. The interior customisation for the Marazzo costs roughly INR 4 lakhs.

The design of the Mahindra Marazzo has been inspired by a shark. As per the company, its latest model is world's first vehicle to have a transversely-mounted engine and a front wheel drive layout in a frame-based architecture. Named as 'Best of both World', the patented architecture leads to reduced floor height and a flat floor and the durability of a ladder frame platform.
