The Mahindra Maxximo EV has a range of 100 km.

The company will also provide charging stations, spare parts and technical assistance for the vehicles. This marks the first EV pilot project under the NEMMP (National Electric Mobility Mission Plan).

The 8-seater zero emissions van is powered by lithium-ion batteries and is capable of running for 100 km on a full charge. Its top-speed is limited to 65 km/h. In fact, the Maxximo EV was also showcased at the Auto Expo last year with a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) system.

Mahindra said the Maxximo EV was good for 20 bhp and 62 Nm of torque, and that it takes 8 hours to charge the battery. The vehicle has a gradability of 18 percent, the company said.
