Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS launched at INR 1,88,800

Mahindra Two-wheelers has updated its website with the price of the new Mojo 300 ABS. The flagship motorcycle from the two-wheeler brand of Mahindra & Mahindra Group retails at INR 1,88,800*.

The Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS is available in a single variant and it has been priced at INR 1,88,800*.

Unlike the non-ABS Mahindra Mojo, the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS retails in a single variant. It strikes a balance between the UT300 and the XT300 variants of the old model. It is INR 4,000 costlier than the Mojo XT300 version. Despite the addition in the ex-showroom cost, the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS misses on features such as LED DRLs and upside-down telescopic forks that were available on the XT300. Instead, the new iteration uses cost-efficient hardware from the UT300 and features conventional telescopic front forks to perform the shock absorption tasks. The rear continues to feature gas-charged monoshock.

The braking department comprises ByBre sourced callipers that grab 320 mm single disc at the front and 240 mm single rear disc at the back. The safety net, as on rivals such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Bajaj Dominar 400 (UG), comprises dual-channel ABS as standard.

With the ABS upgrade, the golden colour for the chassis has been dropped in favour of a more subtle, black finish. Also, the twin exhaust layout has been changed to a single-sided setup, which helps the bike reduce weight.

The engine specifications of the Mojo 300 ABS fall between those of the XT300 and the UT300. The 294.72 cc DOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, FI engine churns out 19.34 kW (26.30 PS) of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 28 Nm of maximum torque at 5,500 rpm. In comparison, the discontinued XT300's engine made 20 kW (27.19 PS) at 8,000 rpm and 30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The UT300's engine delivered 17 kW (23.11 PS) at 7,500 rpm and 25.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Tyre specifications of the Mojo 300 ABS include the same profile rubber as the UT300. However, unlike the UT300, the Mojo 300 ABS uses Pirelli-sourced Angel CT Tyres. The new model has started to roll into dealerships.
