The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 (UG), which was introduced at INR 1,74,125*, received a price revision and the motorcycle is now available at INR 1,80,001*. In comparison, the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS retails at INR 1,88,800, which is INR 8,799 more than the flagship Bajaj product.
Despite the lower price tag, the Bajaj Dominar 400 (UG) packs more power and features than the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS. Its 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, with fuel injection system and Triple Spark technology, delivers 40 PS of peak power at 8,650 RPM and 35 Nm of maximum torque at 7,000 rpm. The relatively lower displacement, 294.72 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected motor on the Mojo 300 ABS, on the other hand, produces 26.30 PS at 7,500 rpm and 28 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Both motorcycles employ a six-speed gearbox. However, the unit of the Bajaj Dominar 400 (UG) features a slipper clutch function. The Mojo 300 ABS has a kerb weight of 181.5 kg. The Dominar 400 (UG) is marginally heavier and weighs 184 kg.
The feature list and hardware specifications, too, give the Dominar 400 (UG) an edge over the Mojo 300 ABS. The flagship Bajaj product comes with full LED lighting (headlight, taillight and blinkers), a digital instrument console and inverted telescopic forks at the front. The headlight and the tail lamp's internals have been improved for better performance.
Apart from the regular information such as the tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, the DOT matrix display on the Dominar 400 (UG) shows engine kill ON warning, service reminder and side-stand indicator. Other key information available on the Dominar 400 (UG) includes average fuel consumption, current fuel consumption, distance to empty, average speed and trip time. The fuel tank mounted display shows the gear position indicator, odometer and the clock.
Based on the customer feedback, Bajaj introduced several upgrades such as the forged steel side stand and cast aluminium stalks to the Dominar 400 (UG). The company also added luggage mounts under the pillion seat on the 2019 model that enhances the touring aspect of the motorcycle. The Dominar 400 (UG) is currently available in Aurora Green and Vine Black colour options. A new paint option will be added to the palette ahead of the festive season.
The Mojo 300 packed upside-down forks on the discontinued UT300 iteration. The Mojo 300 ABS, on the other hand, gets conventional telescopic forks at the front to keep the costs low. The Mahindra product also loses LED DRLs that gave the fascia a premium look. The instrument console on the Mojo 300 ABS features an analogue tachometer along with a digital screen. The Mojo 300 ABS is currently available in Black colour option. It loses the golden colour to the frame for subtle styling.

The relatively higher price tag, along with the budget-focused hardware, does not work in Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS' favour. The Bajaj Dominar 400 (UG), on the other hand, has better features, premium hardware, a more powerful engine, well-spread sales/service network and an affordable price tag, making it the clear choice in this comparison.
