Report - Mahindra Mojo to be launched in June

Back in February, when Mahindra showcased the production-ready version of the Mahindra Mojo, we had reported that the two-wheeler was only a few months away. Now, a report on Auto.NDTV says that the bike is ready for a June 2014 launch.

The Mahindra Mojo was shown in a production-ready avatar at the Auto Expo 2014.

Back at the Auto Expo 2014, a senior official from Mahindra 2Wheelers had informed us that the launch version of the Mojo would see very little changes compared to the version shown at the Expo. The official also told us that only the necessary tooling for the manufacturing at the plant-level and some performance tests need to be completed.

The Mojo is powered by a liquid cooled DOHC, four-stroke single cylinder 250 cc engine that develops 27 hp and a peak torque output of 25 Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The ECU on the Mojo controls both the fuel injection and a digital ignition with a closed loop system. The bike gets twin headlamps with daytime running lights.

Parts like the air deflection panels have been added to the Mojo.

A few changes have been made to the Mojo, compared to the debut vehicle from 2012. The company has added what it calls 'Air deflection panels' and the horizontal bars from the Centuro.
