Mahindra Mojo launch in first half of financial year - Report [Update]
Update - MotorOctane has corrected the story stating that the Mojo will be launched in the first half of the financial year.
Its been 5 years since the Mojo was first revealed.
A report on MotorOctane states that the Mahindra Mojo will launch in the first half of the financial year, nearly half-a-decade after it was first showcased - as a concept - at the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo. The publication quotes Dr Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra, who said that the motorcycle will launch in 2015.
Further, Dr. Goenka said that the Mojo will "add value" to the company's portfolio, and that it isn't expected to contribute to high volumes. A report in March stated that Mahindra had already started trial production of the Mojo at its Pithampur facility in Madhya Pradesh, further bolstering the executive's statement that a June launch would indeed take place.
The Mojo would be powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 295 cc engine capable of 26.6 bhp and 25 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed transmission. Based on telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock suspension at the rear, Mahindra is likely to equip the Mojo with high-end Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres.

Compared to the pre-production model shown at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Mojo bound for customers will sport a more upright riding position, reports say. Further details on Mahindra 2 Wheeler's flagship offering are expected in the coming weeks.
Rivals: Honda CBR250R, KTM Duke 200
