Mahindra Quanto facelift with redesigned front snapped testing - Spied
The Quanto facelift will benefit from an AMT system.
The Mahindra Quanto facelift was snapped testing again, ahead of a launch reported to take place this year. The Quanto is one of Mahindra's slow sellers at the moment, and the Indian manufacturer aims to enhance the features and design of the Xylo-based sub-4 meter UV.
Designers are expected to dish out a new grille, redesigned headlights and new front and rear bumpers to give the Quanto an SUV-like look. To bring it in line with models like the Scorpio, the Quanto facelift is also given a hood scoop, though it remains to be seen if this is purely for an aesthetic appeal.
Spyshots have shown that the Quanto facelift will get minor changes to the rear with possible inclusion of LED taillights. Inside, the center console which has received criticism for feeling down-market, could be updated with better materials, while the seat fabrics could be enriched with better colors for a refreshed look.

Reports suggest that Mahindra is fine tuning the suspension of the Quanto for better stability and a comfier ride. The engine, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel unit, would likely be left unchanged. However, Mahindra will offer a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) with this motor for customers seeking increased convenience. The Quanto AMT autoSHIFT was showcased at the Auto Expo last year.
