An Instagram handle that goes by the name 'Thargarh' has shared an image of a lightly camouflaged example of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift. The spy picture reveals new details about the exterior of the new Mahindra Scorpio that will be officially unveiled on November 14.

The light camouflage does little to hide the new grille. Other revisions to the exterior will include new fog lamp enclosures, new alloy wheels, red tinted tail lamp glass and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.

The light camouflage worn by the Scorpio test unit fully reveals the new grille design with chrome highlights. Also visible in the image is a new ORVM design complete with integrated turn indicator. There are some body graphics present on the side that read "Feel the Power". The headlamp area, air intake, fog lamp enclosures are all hidden under the camouflage.

Specifications of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift were revealed recently via a leaked ARAI document. The big update in this department comes in the form a 20 hp hike in power output. The Scorpio will produce  140 hp of max power. A previous report claims torque will go up by 50 Nm to 330 Nm.

The existing 5-speed manual transmission is expected to be joined by a new 6-speed automatic courtesy Aisin.

The current model was launched in September 2014. The upcoming facelift will its first major update since its launch more than three years ago and will help the SUV soldier on a couple of years more. As per reports, the next generation Mahindra Scorpio will arrive only in 2020.
