The facelifted Getaway is expected to launch later this year in India, followed by exports to Australia.

The new Scorpio Getaway (or Pik-Up in Australia) will feature the front-end of the current Mahindra Scorpio paired to a truck bed. Top-end grades could get projector headlamps with LED pilot lamps, hood scoop, toothed grille with chrome inserts, and foglamps. Compared to the outgoing model, it gets a different C-pillar design, while the rear-end is identical.

The interior will carry over the changes introduced in the Scorpio, which include the new dashboard, instrument cluster with MID screen, 4-spoke steering wheel and new switchgear. It will also be trimmed with better plastics, while the seats will continue being upholstered in fabric.

Based on a body-on-frame chassis with hydroforming sourced from the Scorpio, the Getaway is likely to be powered by the 2.2-liter/1.99-liter mHawk diesel engine tuned for 120 PS and 280 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a Shift-on-the-fly 4WD system (likely for export variants) paired to a new generation '320' 5-speed manual transmission with better shifting characteristics.
