Following the confirmation of the Mahindra TUV300 nameplate and timeframe of launch in September, Autocar India reports that it will launch on September 10. Also, Mahindra has outed a new teaser of the compact SUV, which reveals the front end of the production-spec TUV300.

The Mahindra TUV300 adopts an old-school boxy SUV styling that borrow cues from the Mahindra Bolero.

As seen in the undisguised spyshots, the Mahindra TUV300 adopts an old-school boxy SUV styling that is a departure from today's bold and curvaceous crossover designs. The overall length will measure just under 4 meters, while the design will borrow cues from the Mahindra Bolero.

New spyshots reveal the 7-seat arrangement, where the third row features a single jump seat on each side. Given the short length of the vehicle, we don't think it's anywhere near suitable for adults. Another spyshot of the interior reveals the instrument dials with chrome bezels and steering-mounted controls for the infotainment system. It could get a dedicated display for the infotainment system, bluetooth audio and telephony, and USB/AUX ports.

The TUV300 is powered by a new mHawk 80 diesel engine, which could be a revised version of the 1.5-liter diesel motor sourced from the Mahindra Quanto. A 5-speed manual will be offered as standard, while older spyshots have indicated that an AMT gearbox could also be equipped as an option.
