Leaked images of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus have surfaced online ahead of its imminent launch. The TUV300 Plus is essentially an extended version of the TUV300 with a front facing third row of seats and a bigger engine.

Extending the TUV300 has enabled Mahindra to squeeze in a front facing third row.

Seen here is the base 'P4' trim of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus. It features black grille, bumper, door handles, and ORVMs and rides on steel wheels. As speculated, the TUV300 Plus is visually identical to the TUV300 until the C-Pillar. Unlike the rear section of the TUV300, the windshield in the TUV300 Plus' case is not as upright. However, it still features a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Tail lamps wrap around the sides extending up to the rear quarter glass.

The dashboard setup is also identical to the TUV300. The entry-level trim pictured features only basics like air conditioning. The black-beige colour scheme continues. Unlike the TUV300, which features two jump seats behind the second row, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus gets a front facing third row. There will be multiple seating configurations available including a 9-seat setup aimed at the taxi market.

According to Autocar India, the source of these images, the TUV300 Plus is powered by the 1.99 L version of the mHawk120 diesel that was developed specifically to get around the ban on registration of cars with an engine capacity of 2,000 cc or more in Delhi NCR. As the nomenclature suggests, it has a power output of 120 bhp.

The increment in length means the TUV300 Plus crosses the 4 m small car threshold allowing Mahindra to plonk a bigger 1.99 L mHawk120 engine under the bonnet.
