Mahindra U321 MPV - IAB Rendering

In the first quarter of 2018, Mahindra will launch a new MPV to take on the likes of Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta. Known by the Mahindra U321 codename, the upcoming MPV has been spotted testing on several occasions. Based on these sightings, IAB's automotive illustrator has created a rendering.

The upcoming Mahindra MPV will go on sale in the early part of 2018 armed with a new 130 hp 1.6 L diesel engine.

As evident from earlier sightings, the Mahindra U321 has a typical MPV silhouette. Its front fascia features a 'toothed' grille flanked by headlamps with black inserts and projector units. In the rendered image here, there's a slight kink towards the lower edge of the headlight unit that houses the turn indicator. The bumper features angular creases housing the fog lamps and LED DRLs.

The rear section of the upcoming Mahindra MPV will feature vertically stacked taillights and a rear hatch that flows deep into the bumper ensuring a low loading lip. Test mules have been spotted sporting 5-split-spoke alloy wheels. The dashboard layout, colour scheme, and the instrument console have all been revealed via spy shots.
