Mahindra is offering the XUV300 in petrol and diesel right from launch, and later, it may offer a CNG option as well. This would make it the first model in its segment available with a bi-fuel option. Mahindra XUV300 CNG price will be revealed later.
At the Mahindra XUV300 launch, IAB queried Rajan Wadhera, President, Mahindra & Mahindra (Automotive), about the possibility of offering an XUV300 CNG option. He said: "CNG may come but it’ll come a little later. It’s a natural part of the evolution,” he added. However, the development of this alternative fuel option has not started. Mahindra currently offers a CNG option in the KUV100, but in only the Trip variant that is targeted at the fleet.
