Reported to get 10 new features.

Mahindra will soon launch the XUV500 Xclusive edition with a Sunroof and nine additional features. A camouflaged XUV500 with a sunroof was spotted on test recently as well.

The sunroof is reportedly borrowed from the Rexton.

Team BHP reports that the XUV500 Xclusive edition will be based on the top-end W8 trim. Apart from the sunroof, the variant will get features such as an electrically adjustable driver seat, a hydraulic bonnet, new infotainment system with internet connectivity and chrome inserts.

Mahindra is reported to have borrowed the sunroof and electric adjustment for the driver seat from the Ssangyong Rexton, while the new Scorpio's hydraulic bonnet struts lend a helping hand on the Xlcusive edition.

The Xclusive edition is expected to continue with the 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque, and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. It remains to be seen if the Xcusive edition is offered with AWD or just front wheel drive.

The Xclusive's touchscreen unit will reportedly get internet connectivity.

Apart from the Xlusive edition, Mahindra is also expected to introduce a hybrid variant and an automatic transmission on the XUV500. The hybrid XUV500 was showcased at last year's Auto Expo, and according to Mr. Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division for Mahindra and Mahindra, the hybrid show car is not merely a concept, but will see the light of production.
