It is expected that the Mahindra XUV700 will get the powertrains from the new Mahindra Thar. These engines include a 2.0-litre petrol unit and a 2.2-litre diesel unit. However, there might be a small increase in terms of power outputs. Both engines will go on sale with manual and automatic gearbox options. It is also expected that the Mahindra XUV700 will be available with an all-wheel drivetrain.

Features

Mahindra XUV700 is likely to get a host of premium features. It is likely to get a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. On the spied shots, the Mahindra XUV700 was seen with the dual-screen setting that looks similar to Mercedes’ unit. This sleek setting will surely add an edge to the upcoming model.

Safety

As mentioned above, the Mahindra XUV700 is confirmed to get cutting-edge safety features. In all likelihood, the new SUV will be fitted with Level 1 Autonomous technology. It means that there will be autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, parallel park assist, and adaptive cruise control on the XUV700. It should be noted that Mahindra's upcoming model will be the first car in the segment to get a Level 1 autonomous driving system.

What is the price of the Mahindra XUV700?

The prices of the Mahindra XUV700 is not decided yet. However, it is expected to cost around Rs 14 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. Its predecessor – XUV500 – is currently priced from Rs 13.16 lakh to Rs 18.88 lakh. At launch, the new XUV700 is expected to get slightly more expensive than the existing Mahindra XUV500.

What is the launch date of Mahindra XUV700?

Mahindra XUV700 is expected to hit the showroom sometime in the second quarter of FY2022. The manufacturing of these models will take place at the Chakan facility in Maharashtra.

Mahindra XUV700 will enter the premium compact SUV space. It will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and MG Hector/Hector Plus.

Mahindra XUV700 will be the next SUV from Mahindra to hit the Indian market. The XUV700 is expected to replace the XUV500 as the flagship SUV in our market. Mahindra will launch the Mahindra XUV700 in the Q2 of 2022.
