Maruti Baleno Limited Edition launched; kit costs INR 26,990

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) has launched yet another limited edition model to woo car buyers this festive season. The Maruti Baleno Limited Edition follows the limited-run models of the Swift and the Ignis.

The highlight of the Maruti Baleno Limited Edition is the sporty exterior body kit.

The Maruti Baleno Limited Edition comes as an accessory pack that comprises nine new features. Extras that the model features are dealer-level fitments and are a part of the official accessories package.

The extra features available on the Maruti Baleno Limited Edition include - Front Skirting, Side Skirting and Body Moulding, Rear Skirting, Black Quilted Seat Covers with Carbon Highlights, 3D Floor Mat, Illuminated Door Sill Guard, Premium Cushions, Smart Key Finder, and Premium Tissue Box. While the total cost of these accessories is INR 38,086, they can be bought for INR 26,990 as a part of the limited edition.

Mechanically, the Maruti Baleno Limited Edition remains unperturbed. Powering the petrol variant of the premium hatchback is a 1.2-litre K12M petrol engine that outputs a maximum power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT. The diesel version features a 1.3-litre DDiS190 motor that produces a maximum power of 74 bhp and a peak torque of 190 Nm. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Maruti Baleno is on sale in a price bracket of INR 5.38 - 8.5 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The most expensive hatchback in the company's line-up is sold through the NEXA premium dealership network. With an average monthly sales of 18,264 units*, the Baleno has been one of the highest selling models from MSIL.
